Hello everyone!
For those of you who don’t know, Autumn is my favorite season! Fall brings a crisp chill to the air and the smoky smell of firewood. Anticipation of the approaching Holiday Season is stirring within my heart like the kindling embers in a fireplace. This week, I want to share my responses to the I Heart Fall YouTube Tag.
1. Favorite Fall Scents
I absolutely love the smell of burning leaves at this time of year. I don’t care for it much during the Summer, but when it’s combined with the brisk crisp chill of Autumn, it brings back nostalgic memories of Colonel Williamsburg from my youngin’hood.
My other favorite scent is pumpkin spice. I don’t actually enjoy many pumpkin related foods, but I absolutely love the smell of it!

2. Best Way to Spend a Rainy Day
I love rainy days; however, sometimes the wonky barometric pressure makes it difficult to for me to focus on school work. On the other hand, it is the perfect weather for me to do what I want to do: create: designing cosplay, writing story plots, drawing original characters, or sewing related projects!
3. Favorite Fall Drink
Maple pecan coffee is my favorite drink at Dunkin Donuts (#notsponsored)! I also like apple cider and hot chocolate, which I do not have it often.
If you guys have any other recommendations of yummy Autumn drinks, share in the comments section below! I’m feeling adventurous!
4. Football: Yay or Nay?
Usually “Yay,” but when you’re a fan of the Washington Redskins, it’s hard to go “Yay” because of their crushing defeats over the past few years. Therefore, it has been very much on the lines of “Nay.” But once the Redskins get better, I wouldn’t mind watching football again.
5. Favorite Article of Clothing this Fall
One of my favorite articles of clothing during the cold season is my Uggs, which I received a few years back as a Christmas gift from my grandparents! My other favorites are more accessory-oriented. I have a tea cup charm which I wear on my necklace and an autumn maple leaf that I wear on my bracelet.
6. Haunted House, Haunted Hay Ride, or Haunted Corn Maze?
None of the above. I’m not a fan of hayrides. I just don’t find hayride interesting. I’ve never actually been to a haunted house or a haunted corn maze.
7. The Scariest Movie You’ve Ever Seen…
I do not watch scary movies. The movie that came closest to scaring me was The Brave Little Toaster. Somehow as a child the imagery was creepy to me. This may be surprising in a movie about kitchen appliances trying to find their owner. I was expecting the movie to be more like Homeward Bound, which is a road trip/survival movie about pets trying to find their way home.
Ironically, most of the more fear-centered Doctor Who episodes didn’t really scare me. It might be because I had a clear idea of what was going to happen as I watched it.
8. Favorite Candy to Eat on Halloween?
Candycorn! CANDY CORN! CANDY CORN! CANDY CORN! CANDY CORN! BEST THING EVER!
9. What Will You or Your Kids Be This Year?
I will be working at the Museum of the Albemarle for the entire day (Read more here)! The Junior Docents and I are working very hard to bring our visitors a fun and fulfilling experience!
10. Favorite Fall Recipe.
My family prepares several delectable dishes specifically for the holiday season: creamy spinach dip, stuffing flavored with herbs and spices, and marshmallow-filled sweet potato casserole!
11. What is Your Favorite Thing About Fall?
My favorite thing about Fall? ALL THE ORANGES AND THE REDS AND THE YELLOWS. I LOVE THE PUMPKINS AND I LOVE THE LEAVES! OMGNESS! OMGNESS! OMGNESS!
12. Who else would you like to see complete the I Heart Fall YouTube Tag?
I guess perhaps Rosanna Pansino from Nerdy Nummies, Brian Hull, a Disney Impressionist from YouTube, or Diane Jennings (A YouTuber that I discovered recently who shares intriguing information about Ireland).
